Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer and singer. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who aspire to be successful in Hollywood. After a series of appearances on popular television series her name was a household name after being cast on the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. After her fame, she got major roles on the shows Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The actress then gave an outstanding performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. While she was in the film her role as an actor in films that failed at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were equally prominent. Later, she became a voice actress for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's part on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen movie, did not bring about the results. Southland, the critically-acclaimed drama police show in which Liu appeared regularly played a part that helped to reestablish she is famous as an actress. Liu picks her roles with utmost care in order to ensure she is not cast in an industry that is competitive. Though she has embraced her roots she has not let them restrict her artistic abilities.
