Paula Patton, an American producer and actress, is known for her roles as the main character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action-spy thriller) as well as Precious (a drama). When she was a child she was raised in a Los Angeles middle-class household. The idea of instilling a love for films within her daughter was a skill that was a gift from her mother, who was also a fan of movies. Paula took part in school co-curricular events, and she was especially interested in acting. Her favorite part was acting in stage plays along with her peers. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actress decided acting was her preferred career. She was enrolled at The University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly loved her time there. The program was awarded to her by PBS to create documentaries over a period of three months. Once she had completed the task with success, she began working as an assistant in television documentary production. In the following years, she transitioned to the production of documentaries. Her work was rewarding but was determined to be an actor. She started her career in acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star for the love story Hitch. She has since played in numerous popular films and television programs.
