Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain and her mother is an "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays as well as watching her mother's her job. As a child, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna moved to Toronto Ontario in order to pursue her acting. In the decade that followed, she eventually relocated in Los Angeles.
