He is an actor from Denmark who has been in the role of Troels Hartmann Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was played by the actor in American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was awarded the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011, aged of 27. In 1995, he was accepted to the National Theatre School of Denmark. In addition to his part in The Killing, [1] was also a part of Borgen III, a Danish drama which was highly acclaimed. He also played a central role in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock as blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American television show House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. He was awarded an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in Danish television drama Herrens Veje. The show aired in the UK in 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm
